Our Story
Tradition
In the 1970s, Luciano Imbriani left his job to work and study propolis, developing processes to optimize its processing and marketing his products to major European companies.
Today, his son Gianluca, along with Paolo and Alfredo, has decided to leverage this experience and market it under the Alveario® brand, owned by the Beetaly agricultural company, creating the best formulations developed over more than 40 years.
Passion
The international experience of Alfredo, Gianluca, and Paolo in the propolis sector revealed that propolis is widely used worldwide, mainly for its antibacterial properties, much more than in Italy. However, Italian beekeeping has always focused on honey production and is among the best in the world due to the high biodiversity of the territories.
From this insight came the idea to produce high-quality Italian propolis and use it in our own products, creating an extremely short supply chain. Thanks to ministerial authorizations, it was possible to set up a production plant of near-pharmaceutical standards within the agricultural company. Thus, we are able to deliver products of the highest quality while maintaining competitive prices.
A small part of our story
1978
Luciano Imbriani recognizes the potential of propolis and sets up Biomedical, the first Italian company to industrialize its extraction, developing methods to improve processing and marketing supplements and cosmetics based on bee products.
2010
Gianluca Imbriani, together with Alfredo Fachini and Paolo Passarella, acquires the extraction plant, and in 10 years they become the leading European producer of propolis, supplying all the main pharmaceutical companies. They conduct scientific studies not only to document the strong activity of their extracts but also to develop formulations with correct dosages.
2016
Fachini, Imbriani, and Passarella establish an organic agricultural company specializing in beekeeping for propolis production. The beekeeping operations are managed by Ambrogio Fachini, Alfredo’s son, who becomes a new partner and CEO.
2023
Alveario® is born, the commercial expression of Beetaly, aimed at financing ethical and environmental activities such as the protection of bees for sustainability and biodiversity.

For over 40 years, we have been dedicated to studying, developing, and formulating products based on propolis for your well-being.
Our previous companies have been the main suppliers of propolis for the vast majority of market leaders in the supplement sector. Until now, we operated exclusively in a Business-to-Business environment.
Things are about to change. Through Alveario, we can finally bring our expertise directly to the end consumer in a unique way: by directly controlling the entire value chain.
